Blue Drop: Tenshitachi no Gikyoku- started:October 2,2007 and ended:December 25,2007,the subtitles came out january 01,2008.it was an expected,sad and tragic ending,even though some of the viewers were upset about the death of the main protagonist,they still love this series anyway,Hoping that the last part were played by Mari and Hagino as the key figure of the peace treaty(30 years later) instead of the supporting cast as she stated that *everything will be fine,Definitely*(*one of the main Character line*),without any details or whereabout of the main character after seeing her running to the docks and silently ask the sacrifice to be a sign of hope to the whole planet.Unlike the Manga Stories the Blue Drop: Tenshitachi no Gikyoku anime series is set before the war between Arume(alien race consisting solely of women.) and Human(Horime).The storyline starts in 1999, with Mari Wakatake transferring to a girl's dormitory school called Kaiho Academy.Mari's background hides a traumatic past: four years before her arrival at Kaiho, all the inhabitants of the island where she lived died in one night. Mari was the only survivor, but lost all her memories prior that point.At the academy Mari meets Hagino Senkoji, the school idol and class rep. Although Hagino is introduced as a calm and collected person, when she touches Mari's hand the viewer sees her freaking out and trying to strangle Mari. From then on, Mari is torn between anger and attraction towards Hagino, who pretends as if nothing had happened.Unbeknown to Mari, Hagino is actually the captain of an alien battleship called Blue, which is the vanguard of the invasion to Earth. The incident on the island where Mari lived occurred when the crew of the ship and the island's inhabitants killed each other. Blue was seriously damaged and hidden, and Hagino blended into human society and continued her reconnaissance.The story focuses on the relationship between Mari and Hagino;as Mari begins to come out of her shell, Hagino, who has been living a double life, gradually begins to have doubts about her mission. GREAT! GREAT! GREAT!!! Series...

The story begins with a naked young girl named Lucy escaping under odd circumstances from an insular research facility off the coast of Kamakura in the Kanagawa Prefecture of Japan. Lucy manages to nonchalantly dismember and slay 14 (23 in the anime) of the staff and guards with some form of seemingly supernatural power and gets outside. A sniper is seen trying to shoot her, only managing to ricochet a bullet off her metal helmet. Lucy then falls off a cliff into the sea, bleeding from her head but ultimately surviving and evading the research staff.Lucy is not a normal human but rather a diclonius: a mutant variant of humans with two small horns on their heads that resemble cat ears (hence the name diclonius). The diclonius race possesses telekinetic powers through use of their "vectors", invisible arms that they control with a number and length of reach depending on the diclonius.

The day after Lucy's escape, a boy named Kohta arrives at Kamakura to meet his cousin Yuka. Kohta has come to study at the local university and has been given lodging at an old, family-owned inn, the "Maple Inn", provided he acts as the caretaker. After meeting with Yuka, they go to visit the beach and find Lucy washed up on the shore, still naked and bleeding from her head. The head trauma Lucy experienced causes her to develop a split personality, "Nyū". In stark contrast to the cold and sadistic Lucy, Nyū is completely docile, harmless and is incapable at first of saying anything other than "Nyū". Not knowing what to do with her, Kohta and Yuka take her back to the inn to look after her. Yuka quickly decides that it will be best that she also live at the inn.

Kohta, Nyū, and Yuka begin settling into their life at the inn and Nyū begins to dredge up painful repressed memories from Kohta's past. Meanwhile, the researchers from the laboratory where Lucy was held begin searching for her, dispatching both human and diclonius agents to hunt her down.
